For organizations ready to move from “trying” to consistent practice, with leadership buy-in and willingness to build real infrastructure.

Depending on the nature of the consulting services you request, custom consulting packages are often between $10K–$60K. Various consulting packages cost less, and others more, depending on scope/scale. We generally work with no more than 4 consulting partnerships each quarter.

Guarantee (mutual respect, clean agreements): At the end of the discovery phase, if you don’t feel aligned with and sufficiently confident about our planned or newly articulated scope of work, you can choose to discontinue our work together with no additional financial obligation beyond the discovery phase.

On-Ramp Step 2: Proposal + Scope (Custom) - If it feels aligned, I’ll draft a proposal outlining: Goals, intended outcomes, scope, deliverables, timeline and cadence, details and scope of discovery phase, and investment and payment schedule

Step 3: Agreement + Start Date - Once the proposal is approved (possibly after one additional complementary session to refine and confirm proposal and agreement), we sign an agreement and officially begin!

Root Mapping: Discovery (If Needed)

Sometimes it’s not wise to jump straight to a proposal. There are too many moving parts, too many stakeholders, or too much strain in the system.

In those cases, we start with Paid Discovery: a short, structured phase to listen, map patterns, and scope the work before we commit to a larger engagement.

Timeline: ~30 days
Investment: $3K–$6K (creditable toward the engagement if we proceed)

Discovery may include: Stakeholder conversations; Review of key systems/docs (decisions, hiring, comms, norms); Pattern mapping (where equity breaks down—and why); or Sequencing recommendations (what first, what later, what not yet)

Outcome: A right-sized roadmap and scope your organization can actually hold.

Stewarding Ongoing Evolution

Because the work evolves, some teams choose continued support after the initial engagement, so growth is tended over time and progress keeps branching out instead of resetting or stalling.

Timeframe: 1+ years
Investment: $10K–$60K+ depending on scope/scale

  • No. Joyous Justice has deep and ongoing experience in Jewish ecosystems, and we also partner with progressive teams more broadly, especially where social justice, equity, repair, belonging, and/or healing are central objectives.

  • Sometimes, but it’s not the default. If a single session won’t change the pattern or sufficiently address the issue at hand, we’ll say so, and we’ll recommend an approach that will. Then we can discuss and determine if we can identify a mutually-approved arrangement.

  • Suffice it to say: I could—and I hope I will!—record many podcast episodes unpacking what liberatory means to me, honoring the movements and leaders who’ve informed my understanding over the years.

    At its core, liberatory consciousness is an awareness of oppression paired with an intentional commitment to change the systems that produce it (Love, 2010), internally within ourselves and externally in our interactions, policies, and institutions.

    In short, to be liberatory is to keep strengthening our capacity to act justly and ethically, to reorient, again and again, toward a more humane, connected, and lovingly accountable way of being and leading.
